He was predeceased by: his parent Gordon J. Opel Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Jean Opel of Midlothian, MD; his brothers, Shawn Opel (Katrina) of Lakewood, WV, Christopher Opel and Midlothian, MD; and his children, Caleb, Noah, Riley, Carter and Frostburg, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be directed to WEPCO FCU to "The Opel Children".
