She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Brode (McGregor) and Carl F. Brode; her husband William A. Filer; her daughter Crystal Ogden; her granddaughter Lauren Filer; and her son-in-law Duane Helmick.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Helmick and William F. Filer (Anna); her grandchildren, David Ogden (Catrina), Brandi Mindyas (Ryan), Donavon Helmick (Ruth), Cagney Helmick, Mikayla Filer, Evan Filer and Catherine Filer; her great grandchildren, Gabriella, Caiden, Rose, William, Lauren, Lochlan and Rhys; and her cousin Karen Hook.
