As Evelyn Ellen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Evelyn Ellen. Though Evelyn Ellen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Van B. Self, Sr. and Edna E. Self (Nicholson); her husband Carl L. Harmon; and her siblings, Van B. Self, Jr., Carl Self, David Self, Betty Powers and Pauline Moreland.
She is survived by: her children, Bernard C. Harmon and Caroline VanPelt; and her sisters, Barbara O'Brian and Esther Alt. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Good News Assembly of God (525 National Hwy, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
