He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Thompson; his sons, Joseph Edward Thompson (Chanda) of Shady Grove, PA and Michael Layton Thompson (Rebecca) of Waynesboro, PA; his granddaughters, Kayla, Alexis, Molly, Braelyn, Leah and Delaney; and his sisters, Marilyn Washington, Betty Wing (Steve) and Nancy Thompson-Flikkema.
