She was predeceased by: her parent Ellis Joseph; her significant other Eugene Schurg; and her brother Joe Spiker. She is survived by: her parent Mildred Leona Spiker (Green); her sons, Carl Schurg (Terri), Ray Schurg (Becky) and Roger Schurg (Lisa); her grandchildren, Matthew Schurg, Morgan Trumbule, Christopher Schurg, Alyssa Schurg, Christina Schurg and Nicholas Schurg; and her siblings, Mildred Spiker, Shirley Marie Collins, David Spiker, Gary Spiker and Karen Spiker.
In Dorothy's memory, the family asks that memorial donations be directed toward Greenbelt Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #32, P.O Box 94, Greenbelt, MD 20768.
