Doris Lyons-Lancaster Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Lyons-Lancaster of Frostburg, Maryland, born in Garrett, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 7, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Swarner and Naomi Gale Swarner (Smith); her former husband Joseph S. "Red" Lyons; her husband Harold M. Lancaster; her sons, Joseph Edward Lyons and Charles Albert Lyons; her stepgrandson Keith Vanetta; and her nephew Donald Hoover.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Warren Lancaster (Susan) of Virginia Beach, VA and Patricia Vanetta (Delbert) of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rowe (Brandon) of Edgewood, MD, Alex Pitt (Alyssa), Laura Lyons, DC of Washington, Peter Lyons (Megan), Hagerstown, MD, Michael Lyons (Beth), Alexandria and Cara Herring (Ben); her stepgranddaughters, Michelle Sudderth (Jeff), Heather Harmon (Gary), Shelia Zangl, Christina Behrens (Jeremiah) and Amy Wilson (Garland); and her daughter-in-law Constance Lyons Loucks. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
