He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Dwayne and Hester Mae Garrison (DeHart). He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Brian of Virginia and Galen; his siblings, William (Frances), Wesley (Judy) and Mae (W. R.) of North Carolina; and his brother-in-law Dwayne (Robin). He is also survived by three grandchildren.
The family asks that memorial donations, in Darrell's name, be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
