She was predeceased by: her parents, George Waites and Georgia Juanita Harper. She is survived by: her children, Timmy Shelton and Leticia Shelton; her grandchildren, Brandi Shelton, Skai Shelton and Michael Femi; her great grandchildren, Sterling Shelton and Janoviah Femi; her goddaughter Joy Harper; and her close friend Tausha Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. And all of the sons and daughters.

Darlene loved plants and flowers, however, donations to Durst Funeral Home can be made in her memory to help offset funeral expenses.
