It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Layman (Frostburg, Maryland), born in Eckhart Mines, Maryland, who passed away on February 7, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Lee and Anna Lee (Rank); her husband Wayne M. "Rock" Layman; her daughter Roxanne Durr; and her brother Emmett Lee.
She is survived by: her stepmother Madeline Lee (Bissett); her children, Richard W. Layman (Juanita Salazar) and Betsy Felten (Thomas C. Felten); her grandchildren, Roger Durr II and Amanda Kitis; her great grandchildren, Adam Durr and Garrett Kitis; and her son-in-law Roger Durr.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations, in Betty's name, be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 227, Frostburg, MD 21532.
