He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Wakefield and Sarah Wakefield (VanSickle); his wife Carol Ann Wakefield (Thomas); his children, Robin Marie Wakefield and Troy Samuel Wakefield, Jr.; his son-in-law Timothy Frazee; his siblings, Ruby Wakefield, Hazel Nugent, Dorothy Coddington, Goldie Clark, Dewey and Carl Wakefield; and his half-brothers, Darius and Harvey Wakefield.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Sisler (Roger) and Tammy Thomas (Rick); his siblings, Floyd "Buster" Wakefield of Friendsville, Sam Wakefield of Friendsville and Helen Benson of Bruceton Mills, WV; his grandchildren, Brandi Folk (Jeff), Heidi Fletcher (Matthew), Bridget Perez (Josh), Nicole Skidmore (Brian), Heather Ellifritz (Michael), Russell, Trent and Travis Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Timothy, Madison, Noah, Kate, Rylan, Eddison, Cora, Jacob, Briella, Kinsley, Ashlynn and Piper.
