He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Smearman and Scyntha A. Smearman (Frazee); his brothers, Lloyd, Floyd C. and Albert W. Smearman; and his sisters-in-law, Jean and Matilda Smearman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Helen S. Hoover (James), Ralph H. Smearman (Roberta), Eastlake and Reed W. Smearman; his daughter Tina Rockwell of Markleysburg, PA; his sister-in-law Doris W. Smearman; and his close friend Owen Frantz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
