With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Roger Spear I of Friendsville, Maryland, born in Accident, Maryland, who passed away on January 14, 2022 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spear and Izetta Spear (Savage); his wife Dorothy Jean Spear (Shoemaker); and his siblings, Charles Spear, Robert Spear, Paul Spear, Richard Spear, Vernon Spear, Doris Friend, Betty Turney, Rita Augustine and Lydia Friend.
He is survived by: his children, James Roger Spear, II (Gena) and Paula Jean Spear of Friendsville; his grandsons, Kody Suter, Clint Suter, Jimmy Spear, III and Jesse Spear; and his great grandchildren, Konor Suter and Karson Suter.
