He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lloyd and Sarah Elizabeth Wakefield (VanSickle); his wife Margaret Louise (Lohr); his daughter Connie Sue Wakefield; and his siblings, Carl, Dewey, Troy, Goldie Clark, Hazel Nugent, Ruby Wakefield and Dorothy Coddington.
He is survived by: his siblings, Helen Benson of Bruceton Mills, WV and Samuel Wakefield (Nancy); his children, Pamela Hinton (Steve) of Eglon, WV and Bradley F. Wakefield (Marylin) of Kelseyville, CA; his grandsons, Randall J. Hinton (Beth) of Pennsauken, NJ, Joseph L. Hinton (Eglon) and Tyler Wakefield (Kelseyville); his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Elizabeth "Betsy" Hinton, Davin and Havin Wakefield; and his cousin Margaret Frost. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
