He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Heacox and Josephine Frey; his wife Delanna Frye; and his children, Charles "Chuck" Frye, Jr. and Christie Frye.

He is survived by: his children, Mike Frye (Carol), JP Frye (BJ), Brenda Hartman (Mitchell), Tammy Uphold (Bill) and Shelley Thomas (James); and his wife's children, Crystal Spear (Randy) and Rick Kahl (Amy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with a great-grandchild.
