He was predeceased by: his parents, John Soder and Harriet Soder. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Judith Anne Emerson (Andrew), Jennifer Marie Gilmore (Jason) and John Phillip Soder III; his stepchildren, Daryl Samuelson, Mark Johnson, Derek Johnson, Donald Roy and Michael Roy; and his grandchildren, Michael Emerson, Patrick Emerson, Kevin Emerson, Jacqueline Gilmore, Jackson Gilmore, Madison Soder and John Soder IV (JP). He is also survived by ten step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
