She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ben Hamblin and Dorothy Hamblin (Hackler); her brother Van; her husband William Sturgell (Bill); her siblings, Gayle, Bob and Benny; her children, Sharon Sturgell Staley and Tom Scibelli (Martina); her son-in-law Bill Sturgell, Jr. (Susan); her grandchildren, Bill (Jenn), Amanda and Bobby Sturgell (Lynn); her great grandchild Ben; her granddaughter Karen Sturgell; her great grandchild Shelby Anne; her grandson Jim Sturgell (Jennifer); and her great grandchildren, Maddie, Caroline, Jacob, Andrew, Lydia, Sage, Aaron, Liam and Joe.
Memorials are preferred to Clairfield Elementary in Clairfield, Tennessee, where Barbara's mother, Dorothy, taught school for over 30 years.
