William Swaney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Swaney of Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Swaney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Swaney; his parents, William Patterson Swaney and Jean Swaney (Koderic); and his sister Mildred "Midge" Denny. He is survived by: his sons, William Samuel Swaney (Amy) and Adam Veltri Swaney (Danielle); and his grandchildren, Billy, Allegra, Giovanni and Isabella.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702).
In his retirement, Mr. Swaney was an usher for the Frederick Keys, and received multiple Governor's citations for contributions to community and youth sports.
