He is survived by: his mother Alice Helms; his daughters, Tonya McGuire (Michael), Akisha Witherspoon (Fred) and Nicole Winn (Jason); his grandchildren, Treyvon, Anaya (MarQuise), Deyana, Ivan, Daehvon, Daeante, Malik, Malachi, Malayah, Daejiah, Amirah, Daemonte and Messiyah; his great grandchildren, Karter, Amari and Jenesis; his sister Joyce Layer; his mother-in-law Thelma Ambush; his cousins, Brenda, Elliott Claytor, Ruby Williams (Cookie) and Rosemary Polite; his niece Alicia; his nephews, Virgil and Jermaine Bell; and his uncle Ralph Helms, Sr.. He is also survived by 8 brother/sister in laws; and a host of family and friends.
