He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Grossnickle and Mary Sue Albaugh Grossnickle of Johnsville; his children, Robert Grossnickle, Jr. (Lydia), Ryan Grossnickle, Shannon Taylor (John), Nicholas Grossnickle, Sr. (Kimberly) and Cailean Grossnickle; his grandchildren, Sydnie, Sage, Lila, Gracie, Scarlett, Vivian, Jacob, Abigail, Nicholas, Jr., Jameson, Bayley, Addalyn and Shane; his sisters, Barbara Stevens (Mark) and Carole Doody (David); and his son Geoffrey Grossnickle. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Johnsville Ruritan Scholarship Fund and mailed to 11020 Keymar Rd., Woodsboro, MD 21798.
