He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Maxwell and Francis Maxwell (Deming); and his brother Elvin Maxwell. He is survived by: his fiancée Barbara Jean Richesin; his son Terry Maxwell (Suzanne Ottinger); his grandchildren, Claire Coffey and Sabrina Barbe (Travis); and his son Mark Maxwell.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Homes (40 Fulton Ave, Walkersville, MD 21793).
