He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Milfred L. W. Shumaker and Rita Shumaker of Frederick; his children, Cynthia Richey (Joshua) of Chambersburg, PA and Paul D Shumaker, Jr. of Downsville, MD; his grandchildren, Delilah, Brianna and Ryder; and his siblings, Greg Shumaker (Anne) of Thurmont, Pamela Norwood (Keith) of Ijamsville, MD, Karen Shumaker of Hampton, VA, Susan Roland (Tim) of Thurmont and William Shumaker (Tammie) of New Market. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartzler Funeral Home (11802 Liberty Rd, Frederick, MD 21701). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (9101 Green Valley Rd, Union Bridge, MD 21791).
