Maureen Young Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maureen Young of Frederick, Maryland, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 20, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Dale Morgan and Eileen Morgan (O'Donnell); her siblings, Robert Morgan, Ann "Nancy" Koffel and Judith Morgan; her nieces, Denice Merry and Chrissy Koffel; her great grandchild Hadlee Gray Shade (Boston); and her pet Teddy.

She is survived by: her son Earl C. Young (Samantha); her grandchildren, Earl F., Valerie, Declan, Dougy, Riley, Savannah, Donovan of Martinsburg, WV, Eric G. Young, Devon of Martinsburg, WV, Amanda, Sean of Reno, NV, Douglas G. Young (Dawn) of Frederick, MD, Kyleigh (Camdan Shade) of Falling Waters, WV, Kristopher and Kendall of Frederick, MD; her son Danny King of Asheville, NC; her nephew Charlie Morgan; her sister-in-law Betty Merry of Frederick, MD; her nieces, Gina Pyzik (Matt) of Ocean View, DE, Diane Merry of Hagerstown, MD and Danielle Usilton (Billy) of New Market, MD; her close friends, Sandy Christy, Ellen Habarth, Liz Tull, Joyce Grantham, Arlene Weymer, Susan Conrad, Lucy Barrett, Doris Warns, Edie Stewart, Ruth Trigg, Cathy Doffmeyer, Pat Fotie and Maria Rodriguez; and her caregivers, Maureen, Erik, Linda, Mary Beth, April and Cathy. She is also survived by three sons, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
