He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary McHale (Campbell) and John Martin McHale, Sr.; his siblings, Peggy, Mary Ann, Dorothea, Ginny and Peter; and his nephew Peter Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Rita (Volpe); his sons, John Martin McHale III (Meghan) of Waltham and Tom McHale, Sr. (Jeanette) of Kensington, Maryland; his grandchildren, Tommy, Patrick and Maggie; and his nieces and nephews, Sharon Cowher, Christine Frank, John, Michael, Dan McHale and Robert De Lissio. He is also survived by many cousins, grand- and great-nieces and grand- and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Camilla Hall, the Convent Home and Healthcare Center of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
