He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elmira Morisett, Larry Maly and Marie Maly. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley K. Maly; his children, Scott (Barb Maly) of Emmitsburg, Linda (Michael Frushour) of Myersville and Brian (Lori Maly) of Middletown; and his grandchildren, Katelyn (Steven Smith), Nicole Frushour, Kolby (Jenna Dean), Shelby, Tanner, Drew and Alexa Maly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made in John's name to the Independent Hose Company, 310 Baughman's Lane, Frederick or the Frederick County Fire Rescue Museum, 300-b S Seton Avenue, Emmitsburg, MD.
