She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. William Ross and Treva Ross of Frederick; and her husband Richard H. Hankey. She is survived by: her children, Laurel L. Mitchell of Frederick, Richard T. Hankey of Braddock Heights and Robert R. Hankey of Thurmont; her grandchildren, Brent Mitchell, Katie Slagle, Josh Hankey, Justin Hankey, Kaitlin Hankey and Gabriel Hankey; and her friend Gloria Gafney.
