He is survived by: his wife Arlene Alberta Swartz (Loveless); his children, Kevin Howard Swartz, Sr. (Elizabeth Marie) of Granite Falls, NC, Stephanie Robin Courtright (Sean Nathan) of Martinsburg, WV, Robin Lowery of Clear Spring, MD and James; his grandchildren, Kevin Howard Swartz, Jr., Haley Marie Swartz, Emma and Olivia Dobson; and his great grandchild Taylor Zeus Reiff.
