He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Mary (Shrum) and Edward. He is survived by: his wife Diana (Potisek); his children, Melissa and Gregory; his daughter-in-law Theresa; his grandchildren, Nicole (Hunter), Ashley Kinna (Willie) and Will; his great grandchild Leland Kinna; his brothers, Edward and William (Nancy); his siblings-in-law, Lou and Susan Potisek; his niece Stephanie Potisek Lee (Dave); and his great-nephew Caden.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stauffer Funeral Home-Frederick (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. He loved socializing and hosted COVID driveway parties for neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the James G. Topper Centennial Award in Mineral Engineering scholarship fund (https://www.eme.psu.edu) at Penn State, the Arboretum at Penn State for a tree to be planted in his memory, or Frederick Health Hospice.
