He was predeceased by: his brother Steven Garst; and his parent-in-law Seth. He is survived by: his parents, Denton Garst and Peggy Garst (James); his spouse Mary Garst; his children, Lindsey McInerney (Mitch) of Alexandria, VA, Lisa Chakalis (Tony) of Walkersville, MD and Lucas Garst of Frederick, MD; his grandson Branch Chakalis; his siblings, Linda Bruchey (Charles) of Frederick, MD, Nancy Hawkins (Bill) of Frederick, MD and Kenny Garst (Peggy Sue) of Frederick, MD; and his brother-in-law Bill Schnebly (Susie). He is also survived by numerous nephews and a niece.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Frederick Church of the Brethren Deacon Fund or to Community Living, Inc., 620B Research Court, Frederick, MD 21703, in honor of Lucas Garst.
