She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Virginia Hawes Henretty and Roy Layton Henretty; and her husband Wayne C. Engle. She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Engle Cutsail (Keith) of Middletown; her grandsons, Jason Cutsail (Courtney) of Williamsport and Ryan Cutsail of Boonsboro; her great grandchild Grayson Cutsail; her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Henretty Thompson (Patsy) of Frederick and Roy Thomas Henretty (Billie Jo) of Utah; and her nieces and nephews, Allen Thompson of Walkersville, Randy Thompson of Frederick, David Henretty (Michelle) of Oregon, McKay Henretty (Amy) of Ohio, Adam Henretty (Lisa) of Ohio, Christa Henretty Meek (Wade) of Washington, Josie Henretty Hartman (Travis) of Oregon and Sarah Henretty Workman (Ben) of Utah.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Drive # 103, Frederick, MD 21702.

I thought back on her life as a compassionate but direct soul, a hard worker, one devoted and loving toward all of her family, and the very best hostess for Christmas Clinic parties. I also felt relieved knowing Gerry was finally free of the long and deep grief she'd experienced since Wayne's passing. May we all experience God's comforting care as we celebrate the life and love of beautiful Gerry.”
