He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Lewis, Sr. and Marjorie Yeagle Lewis; and his grandson Kristopher F. Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Pamela H. Lewis; his children, George III (Michele) and Alisa; his granddaughter Alexandria (Anthony); his great grandchildren, Savannah, Natalie and Finley; and his sisters, Judy Lewis Harrell (William Harrell) and Janice Pendley. He is also survived by his niece and nephews.
