He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sheahin and Alice Sheahin; and his grandson Nicholas Sheahin. He is survived by: his wife Grace Marie "Joyce" Sheahin; his children, Edward Sheahin (Amy), Thomas Sheahin (Judy), Deborah Reighard (Dennis) and Kathleen Walker; his grandchildren, Ryan Sheahin (Michelle), Marc Sheahin (JoAnna), Zach Sheahin (Jennifer), Victoria Walker, Shane Walker, Calvin Reighard, Alexander Reighard, Jordan Sheahin, Kyle Sheahin and Leah Sheahin; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Adam, Addison, Ace, Blake, Avery, Landon, Mason, Emma and Jaxon.
