She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin A. Boyce Sr.; and her father Franklin Knott. She is survived by: her children, Yvonne, Stephanie (Joseph), Tanya (Elizabeth), Crystal, Melvin Jr. (Savannah), John, Victor and Martinez "Marty" (Markeia); her siblings, Diana (Tommy), Larry (Bridgid), Allen and Brian (Patricia); and her close friend Gloria Jean. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
