He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alma R. Whitehouse and Ruth E. Roney. He is survived by: his children, Carolyn R. Roney of Williamsport and Paul E. Roney (Faith M. Roney) of Beavercreek, OR; his grandchildren, Sarah E. Roney, Nicole E. Davila (Pete) and Erika J. Rathjen (Jake); his great grandchild Jayden L. Rathjen; and his siblings, Walter L. Roney of Frederick and Jeanne R. Lee of Bluffton, SC. He is also survived by four step-children; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roney Family Fund, c/o Community Foundation, 312 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701; or to All Saints Episcopal Church at the above address.
