It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bishop Alexander Hardy Jr. (Frederick, Maryland), born in Snow Hill, Maryland, who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander J. Hardy, Sr. and Agnes Hardy; and his sisters, Shirley Purnell and Madeline Brown. He is survived by: his daughter Anita Glover (Phillip); his wife Barbara A. Blake; his brothers, Albert Hardy (Betty), David Hardy (Belinda) and Gary Hardy (Hayley); his grandchildren, Anyaé and Micah Glover; his aunts, Mary Grace Harmon, Clemeth Purnell and Pamela Redden; and his close friends, Willie Boyd, Wayne Jones, Doug Clarke and Chico Hernandez. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, friends, spiritual daughters and sons.
