He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frederick and Dorothy Tewes (Hodder); his former wife Patricia Ann Tewes (Bowser); his brother Mark Tewes; and his brother-in-law James F. Bowser.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Michelle Peterson (Larry), Melissa Anne Riley, David Crummitt (Christine) and Ann Smith (Kenny); his grandchildren, Ryan Miller (Afnan), Margaret Gaeth (Thomas), Conner, Katie Crummitt, Dylan and Ashton Smith; and his brother Dennis Tewes (Somruedi).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home-Frederick (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
