She is survived by: her husband Joe Earl Picot; her son Peter DeAndre Picot (Lewanna) of Smithfield, VA; her stepson Claxton Majette of Baltimore, MD; her siblings, Reba Whitaker of Suitland, MD, Jennifer Whitaker Simmons (Lonnie) of Murfreesboro, NC and Lyman W. Whitaker (Vivian) of Newport News, VA; her sisters-in-law, Sallie Whitaker of Baltimore, MD, Julia Whitaker of Cofield, NC and Shirley Riddick of Murfreesboro, NC; and also Eva Newman (Oliver) of Suitland, MD. She is also survived by grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and friends.
