She is survived by: her husband Joseph Carr Jr.; her sons, Ethan Carr (Felicia) of Ft. Washington, MD and LeRon Carr (Bernadette) of Waldorf, MD; her grandchildren, LaTia Carr, Ariel Carr, Christopher Carr, Nicholas Carr, Justin Carr and Jamal Carr; her great grandchild Arianna Carr; her siblings, Richard Simmons (Mildred), Esther Meyers and Harrison Simmons (Betty); and her in-law Alberta Simmons.

A wake was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer AME Church (7707 Allentown Rd, Fort Washington, MD 20744). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A repast was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alfred Street Baptist Church (301 S Alfred St, Alexandria, VA 22314).
