She was predeceased by: her parents, George Thompson and Helen Thompson; her husband Frank E. Welch; and her daughter Stephanie Welch Gray. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ra'Shad Welch (Ebony) of Roanoke, VA and Tamara Barnes of Accokeek, MD; her great grandchildren, Ra'Shawn, Eniece, Maurice and Jamiece; her great great grandchild Ezrih; her sister-in-law Josephine Thompson; her son-in-law Frank L. Barnes; her niece Janie Ollie; and her close friend Celestine Long. She is also survived by the youngest child of 14 and outlived all of her siblings.
