She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey G. Chase, Sr and Irene Qualls Chase; her spouse Cleamon Cephas; her daughter Patricia Lee Freeman; her brother Reverend Harvey G. Chase, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Horace Johnson, Sr and Oliver Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Chase Trappe (Roxanne), Stanley Chase Lansing (Yvette), Carolyn Johnson Hollister and Gilbert Cephas; her grandchildren, Nicole Levin, Monica Chase, Kent Chase, Kurt Chase, Doris Santiago, Chynne Chase, Kim Chase, Ina Holden, Brandy Brown, Donovan Skinner, Horace Johnson, Jr., Keith Johnson and Darry Scott; and her sister-in-law Mary Chase. She is also survived by 30 great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
