He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Dorothy Simmons (Grafton); and his siblings, David Simmons and Joann Sheffler. He is survived by: his children, Kelly R. Day (Kevin), Leslie D. Dean (Kenny) and William "Billy" Simmons (Tracy); his grandchildren, Morgan Day, Mitchel Millan, Maddie Day, B. J. Simmons and Peyton Dean; and his siblings, Helen Cornett, Velma Noonkester, Jean Whitshell and Larry Simmons. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
