He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Aldan Nelson and Jean Wines (Rosie Eugenia Dockery); his wife Edith Lauretta Phillips (Grafton); his children, Charlene Barberry, Nanette Hopkins, Blair Phillips and Craig Phillips; his sister Shirley Grafton; and his adoptive father Bent Phillips. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
