He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Whetstone and Esther Whetstone (Schaub); and his son Timothy Dean Whetstone. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Whetstone and Melissa Whetstone; and his wife Marianne Whetstone (Williams).
Cary and Marianne bought a home in Florida and planned to spend their retirement there but ended up spending the last years in his oldest daughter's home in Forest Hill, MD due to Covid and dementia.
