Vera Louise Hess Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera Louise Hess of Flintstone, Maryland, born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on August 7, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellery Donald Smith and Ethel May Smith (Shipley); her husband Richard A. Hess, Sr.; her son-in-law Bobby Hartle; and her brothers, George, Donald and Frank Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Richard A. Hess, Jr. (Shelvie), Robert Hess (Jeana) and Anna Hartle; her grandchildren, Brooke Hartle, Richard "Tater" Hess and Olivia Hess; her brothers, Paul Smith (Linda) and Larry Smith (JoAnna); her sister-in-law Janet Smith; and her friends, Vicki Bowman, Jan Stickley, Linda Knight, Bev and Pat Patterson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
