She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas B. Heavner Sr. and Grace E. Heavner (Frantz); her brothers, William, Harold, Frank, Roger, Herbert and Dr. James Heavner; her nephew Dr. David Heavner; her parents-in-law, Jairus and Edna Chaney (Bennett); and her siblings-in-law, Elery Chaney and Thelma Chaney.
She is survived by: her husband Merel Chaney Sr.; her children, Virginia Huff (Lloyd), Merel Chaney Jr. (Keli), Glenn Chaney (Teresa) and Randall Chaney (Barbie); her grandchildren, Lloyd Jason Huff, Melinda Huff, Janelle Barkman (Preston), Rebecca Huff (Darrell), Kara Harper, Bradley Chaney, Leah Chaney, Jairus Chaney (Bethanie) and Savannah; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Liam, Levi, Waylon, Baby Barkman and Baby Chaney; her stepgreat-granddaughters, Megan and Brianna; her siblings, Doug (Sarah Heavner), Richard (Gerry Heavner), Ronald (Janet Heavner), Alice (Richard Young), Bessie Park and Rose Rubin; and her sisters-in-law, Jane Betsey and Mitzi Heavner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
