He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva E. Brosey and Esther W. Brosey; his sister Elva Louise Martin; his son-in-law John Sylvester; his grandsons, Peter Eugene Brosey and Alexander Nash Brosey; and his great grandchild Isaiah LaRue Brosey.

He is survived by: his spouse Zelma Valaire Brosey; and his children, William Brosey (Jamie) of Knoxville, TN, Winifred Sylvester of Finksburg, James Brosey (Patricia) of Leesburg, VA, Daniel Brosey (Terri) of Finksburg, Steven Brosey (Elizabeth) of Severn and Nancy Katunick (Michael) of Finksburg.
