He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Gerard Klein, Sr. of Abingdon and Henny; his wife Brenda Kay Klein; his children, David (Candace) of Westminster, Hannah of Finksburg, Stephen of Finksburg, Christina of Finksburg and Thomas of Finksburg; and his siblings, James Gerard Klein, II (Sharon) of Ellicott City and Patricia Marie Stevenson (Jim) of Abingdon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Baltimore Rescue Mission or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
