Joan Rose Shaw Obituary

Joan Rose Shaw, 70, of Finksburg, MD, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. Born April 21, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Ethelrida (Moeller) Strafalace. She was the devoted wife of 37 years to Dr. Thomas David Shaw.

Joan was the office manager of her husband's chiropractic business, and enjoyed being able to work with her husband. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing internet games, and watching movies. She loved spending time with her favorite people; with family time, seeing friends, and Bible study & prayer groups.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are beloved sons, Aaron David Shaw, and Jacob Thomas Shaw; and 6 siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, 11:00am, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. An hour of visitation will precede the Mass, at 10:00am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., Westminster.
