It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas J Piper of Finksburg, Maryland, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Doris Piper (Jaffe) and DeForest Piper; his wife Lynne Lemmerhirt; his brother Fred of Ionia, Michigan.; his children, John Piper (Ginny), Susan Snyder (Tim), Douglas Piper (Jenny) and Elizabeth Piper; his grandchildren, Gunnar Snyder, Allison Warner (Katie Rae), Aidan Snyder, Kathryn Piper, Colin Piper, Behren Snyder (Lauren), Erin Piper, Gabrielle Snyder and Benjamin Piper; his great grandchild Vivian Warner; his brother-in-law Wayne Lemmerhirt (Jackie); his niece Melissa; his nephews, Ted and Andrew Piper; and also Sarah Piper Thompson. He was also cherished by children along with many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
