He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nelson Wayne Meekins and Josephine Annette Eaton Meekins; his wife Sharon Ann Meekins; his son Daniel Scott Meekins, Sr. (Corissa); his grandchildren, Morgann Wilso Meekins and Daniel Scott Meekins, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Andrew and Paislee Wilso Tabling; and his sisters, Robin Spurrier (John), Beth Nall (Dave), Cathy D'Elia (Chas), Theresa Buck (John) and Stacey Richards (Michael). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
