He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ruby of Washington and Ray Louise Kiler Ruby; his wife Sarah Zimmerman Ruby of Virginia; and his siblings, Phyllis Harvey and Bob Ruby.
He is survived by: his children, Suzy Whittaker of Pennsylvania and Jason Ruby (Brittney) of Finksburg, MD; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Lakoda, Clayton and Cordell; and his siblings, George R. Ruby of Montana, Kathileen Cartzendafner of Littlestown, PA, Judy Utz (Charlie) of Gettysburg, PA, Helen Crumbie of Westminster, MD, Ruthy Cook of Airville, PA and Phillip Ruby of Essex, MD..
